Women In Business

Last year's event was well attended and we are expecting an even greater turn out this year. We will be partnering with Huron Valley Schools to promote WED, helping us reach nearly 10,000 homes by sending home fliers with the students and emails home to parents. Additionally, we will be donating the proceeds from ticket sales ($5 each) to Huron Valley Education Foundation which will make this event even more attractive to area residents as a way to support the schools while doing something fun for themselves.

 

Our format will again provide four 45 minute sessions limited to ten workshops in each session with 30 minute breaks between sessions for browsing booths. We're working to provide a wide variety of fun, interesting, and educational topics. As before, we'll offer a continental breakfast for our attendees. We're excited to continue a fourth year with the incredibly popular Ultimate Makeover which has created so much excitement for our event.

Women In Business is now accepting reservations for booth vendors and workshop presenters. If you don't have a workshop topic that you'd like to teach, we can match you with a presenter who can provide an enjoyable topic. You would simply attend the class to introduce yourself as the workshop's sponsor. Members of the Highland Business Association/Women In Business are offered a discount of $25. Another $25 discount will be available for vendors who bring at least 5 attendees to the event. We have a limited availability for electrical connections at the booths, so requests will be handled in the order recieved. Workshop presenters are asked to provide any presentation equipment that they need. Once again it is our goal to have a variety of classes and/or vendors, therefore we are taking reservations on a first-come, first-serve basis. For an additional $50, workshop presenters now have an opportunity to present the same workshop in two different sessions, subject to approval and space availability.
